What memories bring me back to this song, a cover from Fiona Apple.
The original song from The Waterboys was already perfect, to be honest.
Still, Apple’s voice sounds brilliant and brings me the same emotions I had when I was in my 20s, and I heard for the first time this song.
Just after the first few words from Fiona Apple and I already have tears in my eyes for the emotional way she sings the song.
It reminds me of one love I had, when we sometimes lay on our backs on summer nights on our couch, held hands, looked at the stars or close the eyes, and been in silence.
She always saw the whole of the moon in that position.
But after we split and I have never seen her again.
I will always love her, but just for this song, nothing else.
But now it’s time to finish to write and you to read and just put the volume up and enjoy Fiona Apple.
